The Show Record

2010 marked the return to the show pen for the Poier family and it turned out to be a very successful year. Jess brought old Binky out of retirement and after a two year break proved he was truly an all around horse. Jess took him to the Zone 10 show in Calgarly and was crowned the youth 14-18 champion plus the reserve champion super horse. She got her youth championship award and Rom's in halter, barrels and pole bending all in one show. Kudos to Jess as this was her second Zone 10 championship as she also won the youth 13 and under divison with RMW CLASS SPECIAL. This is something that not to many kids will achieve, congratulations Jess we hope you continue to work with horses you have a very special talent. Morgan and Marty also shined in the show pen this year as they hooked up for their first year of competition and what a teem they were they will be an awsome team in the future be very afraid kids. Morgan and Marty got Rom's in halter and western pleasure and 2012 will undoubtedlly see them attain their youth championship, keep up the good work Shorty. Although Margaret didnt have much of a chance to do a whole lot of riding other than tuning and coaching in 2010 she did do a tremendous job with the longe liners. This marked the first year our TALK OF THE PARTY babies hit the show trail and they proved to be superstars. Margaret took her APHA filly IMA HOT PARTY GIRL to some shows and ended up winning the Brandon open longe line and MRCHBA longe line futurities with her. She also campaigned the AQHA geldings PARTY HAT CAT who won the Harvest Gold longe line futurity and was third in the MRCHBA. COWBOY UP PARTY was second in the Harvest Gold. Another Rafter P horse to shine this year was SMOKIN JO MAUCHO who under the expert guidance of Taylor Douglas placed third overall at the 2010 Sask 50/50 winning both the rail and pattern divisions, congatulations. We are looking forward to a very bright future in the horse business. The TALK OF THE PARTY foals are proving to be a real joy to work with and are making the showing a lot of fun and quite affordable.
